Why did the Ukraine Relief Association start?
We have set up this association to directly support Polish families whose monthly income is below 25 000 PLN per household and need help to pay the additional bills of hosting war refugees.
Why are so many Ukrainian refugees remaining in Poland?
The refugees want to remain close to their loved ones and families and return home as soon as it is safe.
Once the war is over it will be vital for them to return home to rebuild their country therefore it is important to help them to remain in Poland until such time comes.
The challenge is many of the hosting families are finding the financial burden too much to bear on a long-term basis. Additionally, the help from the government is simply not enough.
Who do you support?
We support Polish families earning less than PLN 25K per month per family and who host Ukrainian war refugees. Find out more about how do we support.
How many families are being supported?
We pre-selected twenty Polish families who are hosting 60 Ukrainian war refugees in their homes. As support for the project grows, we can easily expand to help 100 families.
How do you help?
We donate 100% of all raised funds to the selected families. Donations to the household are strictly linked to the number of refugees that they are hosting.
The donations are Eur100 per refugee per month.
How do you intend to bridge the gap further between income and expenditure?
100% of our income comes from our supporters, fundraisers, donors and partners.
All costs of running the association are covered by MDC2 Sp. Z o.o. ensuring that 100% of your donations go directly to the families.
Do you employ paid staff?
No, we collaborate with selected external partners such as a lawyer, accountant, digital marketing specialist and office coordinator
Alongside this, we depend on amazing, dedicated founders, who give up their time freely, to support and help keep costs to an absolute minimum.
